Standard Assessment Procedure
Appendix Q: Special features and specific data
Appendix Q of SAP is the process through which information, including, but not limited to product performance data, is made available to energy performance assessors that was not available when SAP was published. This process also derives test and calculation methodologies that can be used to measure product performance and integrate within the applicable SAP calculation version.
This website provides a searchable database of performance data for technologies and products that can be entered into a SAP calculation using Appendix Q.It is important to note that the majority of new technology categories created via Appendix Q for SAP 2005, have now been integrated into SAP 2009 via the Product Characteristics Database (PCDB). Therefore, the 'Appendix Q database' provides a temporary location for applicant technologies between SAP updates.
These calculation processes can only be used with performance data featured on the Appendix Q website. If the system being specified is not included in the Appendix Q website it is not applicable.
Follow links on the left for the relevant calculation process, installation checklist and testing method for each technology type.
BRE, acting on behalf of DECC, does not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any loss or damages whatsoever arising from use or loss of use of, data or profits arising out of or in connection with the use of the Appendix Q website.
