Guide to Appendix Q

This sections provides guidance on Appendix Q procedures.

Product Manufacturers and Distributors:

The technologies that are currently assessed via Appendix Q are described in the Technologies assessed via Appendix Q link on the left panel.

If you have a product that falls into one of the Technologies assessed via Appendix Q and wish to have it tested, please click on the Submit a product for testing link on the left panel.

If you are unsure if your product falls under any of the Technologies assessed via Appendix Q, please contact sapq@bre.co.uk for further advice.

If you wish to apply for recognition of a product that does not fall under any of the Technologies assessed via Appendix Q, please click on the Applying for inclusion of a new technology" on the left panel.

 

SAP Assessors, Developers, other Building Professionals:

To locate performance data for a particular product assessed via Appendix Q , or to find out which products are assessed via Appendix Q, please click on Search database.

To find out how to utilize specific product data in a SAP assessment, please read the information in How to use the data.

If you are completing a SAP assessment for submission to building control, the relevant Installation Checklist or Certificate must be completed and submitted to building control.  Otherwise, the Appendix Q performance figures cannot be used in the SAP assessment.  These can be found in the Installation Checklists link on the left panel.
